Department Introduction
The Department of Software Engineering was established in 1983 as the Department of Electronic Computing. It was reorganized as a 3-year department in 2001 to foster creative minds and diversity to train professionals to handle the IT industry and its core, software, which will play a pivotal role in the 21st century. To this end, faculty members who are experts in their respective fields are in charge of education in specialized fields such as big data, mobile computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and computer security, and operate educational programs to enhance practical skills through various industry-university cooperation programs, work-study parallel system, and industry-demand customized education.
Educational Objectives
To train software engineers who can develop and manage systems required for industrial sites by acquiring core skills required for various IT jobs and competencies in future new technologies, with the ability to be creative, collaborative, interpersonal, and intellectual.
