The only place in Seoul to cultivate publishing professionals with a path to successful employment upon graduation.
We operate a 3-year curriculum (starting with 2022 admission) to train media publishing professionals in the era of the 4th industrial revolution.
Educational Objectives
The Department of Media & Publishing aims to establish itself as the best in Korea, with the vision of becoming the best place to train future professionals in media and publishing through technology convergence. In addition, the department's specialization plan is to produce professional talents in media publishing based on 'ICT-AI'.
To this end, it will focus on △ fostering self-directed creative convergence talents, △ fostering creative media publishing professionals, and △ nurturing on-the-job talents. The three-year course has been in operation since 2022. We aim to strengthen student competencies through various curricula, understand convergence content, and adapt to the 4th Industrial Revolution and digital convergence environment with the mission of "ICT-AI-based media publishing training" our specialization and innovation direction.

Career after graduation
Graduates have gone on to work in various fields such as publishing companies, magazines, newspapers, advertising agencies, corporate public relations offices, editorial agencies, planning agencies, printing houses, printing presses, and bindery, and have established themselves as professionals with the expertise and skills to meet the demands of the multimedia age.
In addition, students can pursue careers as copyright agents, librarians and archivists, comic book publishers, advertising planners, copywriters, lecturers at video publishing academies, character merchandisers, textbook developers, visual designers, artistic bookbinders, academic artists (curators), photographic phenomenon operators, printing press operators, translators, audiologists, literary writers, and journalists.
Department Characteristics
Students can learn about mass media through a faculty specializing in newspaper broadcasting and editorial design and gain insight into the publishing process as a mass media. In addition, alumni and students have a solid relationship and exchange information about professional life. Students can receive practical advice from alumni who have already entered the publishing industry and are exposed to various contents such as design practice, marketing, and the publishing industry to maximize their potential to become professionals.
