Department Introduction
The Department of Real Estate Law was established in 1978 as the Department of Cadastre, then operated as the Department of Real Estate in 1984, and was reorganized as a 3-year program in 2021. In 2024, the department changed its name to 'the Department of Real Estate Law'. It adopted a curriculum aligning with the times to play a leading role in the diversified social environment. The Department of Real Estate Law aims to enable real estate and legal service specialists who can actively cope with the rapidly changing modern society and respond to the trend of balanced development of the country and real estate market. Students will be able to systematically establish the theories of land use planning law, civil law, real estate brokerage law, real estate tax law, and real estate policy related to the medium- and long-term development and efficient use of real estate and organically understand the contents of practice through case analysis. The program fosters competent 'real estate law practitioners' who can actively cope with the rapidly changing social and economic trends of the 4th industrial revolution.
Educational Objectives
The Department of Real Estate Law aims to foster creative and future-oriented real estate law practitioners for the 4th Industrial Revolution. We operate a competency-based curriculum to provide specialized practical training in real estate law, including real estate brokerage, valuation, policy, auction, and analysis of various legal rights.

Career after graduation
- Real estate brokerage and sales
After obtaining the license, you can start your own real estate agency or work for a real estate company. You can also work for a large real estate company and provide consulting and legal services to clients as a qualified professional. - Real estate appraisal
After qualifying as an appraiser, you can start your own appraisal office or work with another company, such as the Korea Appraisal Institute. You may also work for companies and financial institutions to manage asset valuation, bonds, and debts. - Real estate research institute
As a professional researcher, you can conduct real estate advisory and research work at the Korea Land Development Institute, the Appraisal Institute, the Institute of Real Estate Agents, investment advisory firms, and real estate counseling firms. It can also be engaged in asset valuation, bonds, and debt management for companies. - Real Estate Development and Leisure Industry
You can work for real estate-related services such as the Korea Land and Housing Corporation, real estate development companies, and leisure-related companies, and also work on related services such as real estate management and market analysis in the distribution sector (location selectionㆍmarket analysis and lease managementㆍright relationship analysis). - Legal Affairs and Receivables Management
You can work in large law firms, judicial scrivener's offices, tax accountant's offices, banks, and other financial institutions to manage receivables, personal assets, and related valuations.
Department Characteristics
