China has long been a country with close geographical and historical ties to Korea, and the need for Chinese language skills has always been vital due to the historical background of the most active cultural exchanges with Korea over the years.Especially since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Korea in 1992, vigorous exchanges across all fields, including politics, economy, and culture, have increased the practicality of Chinese language skills and demanded professionals who understand China.
Therefore, having a high level of Chinese language skills and being prepared to cooperate and compete with China are requirements for human resources in the 21st-century global era.
The Department of Business Chinese, established in 1991, has been working to cultivate China-related professionals in line with these trends. As a result, our graduates are active in various sectors of society, such as bilateral trade, tourism, services, and education, or studying abroad at renowned universities in various parts of China, serving as experts on China in the 21st century.
